ZZ loves her arts and crafts!

ZZ is happy to start school again! For her it means more arts and crafts! She loves making pictures for Dad, popsicle stick guys, bracelets, painting, and pretty much anything that would be considered arts and crafts!

I know she likes playing soccer, but I asked her about her soccer game and she didn't have much to say. I asked her if she scored any goals today and if she and Kayla ever get to play together and she just replied, "I don't renember". I guess she has a lot of other more important things going on, like when can we watch the Kia hamster dance again???

Correction

I had previously stated that Zara did not know about doing Kindergarten over again. Uncle Eddie asked her yesterday what grade she was going to be in next year and she was aware that she is in Kindergarten next year. Mom must have let her know. I'm glad she knows and she doesn't mind doing it over again at all!

Tooth Fairy Alert!

Zara lost her first tooth yesterday! She is very excited about the tooth fairy coming tonight!

Zara still does not know that she is going to be in Kindergarten again this year. Last year she was a 'transitional Kindergartener' so technically she should have been starting Kindergarten this year anyway. I do not see any reason at all to start first grade early though. What's the reward? There is none. She can always skip a grade if she ends up being really gifted, but she will never have the chance to stay back a grade ever again. So, it's back to K. Kindergarten is fun anyway and I'm sure that she will thank us someday or she won't even remember that she did Kindergarten twice!

ZZ's Sparkles

Zara told Mom she had sparkles on her foot! Huh? It took Mom some communication to figure out that ZZ had pins and needles! Her foot fell asleep!

ZZ's First Tee-Ball Game

Zara played her first tee-ball game on Wednesday night! Hitting went really well! She can hit as well as most of the boys and she knows which base to run to. Defense was another story. Zara can play defense, but the actual game play on defense isn't what she, or I, expected. Once the ball is hit, everybody runs toward the ball and dog piles on it in an attempt to get it. It's kind of silly. Zara wants nothing to do with it. She stood in one spot the whole game and did not move like her feet were cemented to the ground. I don't blame her for not wanting to dog pile on the ball. I told her just look alive out there and be ready if the ball comes to you!

Tee Ball Starts

Zara started practicing with her tee ball team this week! She is excited to finally play a team sport after watching Kayla play soccer, basketball, and softball. But now Zara is old enough to start playing on a team! I did not get to see her practice yet because I go to school at night, but I will get pictures very soon. Until then...

ZZ crosses her eyes

Yes, ZZ can cross her eyes now! She is the best at doing weird stuff among the girls. Last winter she amazed us with "monster eyes" when she discovered how to flip up her eyelids. This winter she learned to see double by crossing her eyes! This week is spring break so I'll dust off the camera and get a picture of her crossing her eyes!
