Each horizontal row of boxes represent a generation. Giovanni and Damiana are on top because they represent the youngest generation in the family tree. Mom's side of the family is on the left and Dad's side is on the right.
I shortened the lists to 5 names in each box to save space, but where there are downward arrows (or boxes if your browser sucks), if you hover your pointer, there is a drop menu of more names, as some of the lists are very long.
Below is a color code for the boxes, indicating the relationship to Kayla, Zara, and Arielle. I know the "once removed" term sounds weird, but I researched a little bit and it is accepted and correct terminology.
